STORY
Somin, an art student, is obsessed on a perfection. She organizes and cleans everything around her.
One day, when she is struggle with her realistic flower painting, a mystery box contained yellow rain boots is delivered to her.
Somin picks the yellow rain boots up with curious eyes, then all of sudden, the mysterious rain boots starts to dance magically and mess up her perfectly organized world.
완벽에 집착하는 꼼꼼한 성격의 미대생 소민이 자신의 실사주의 작품 앞에서 고민에 빠지던 어느날.
의문스러운 상자 하나가 그녀의 앞으로 배달 온다. 노란 우비 장화 하나가 그 안에 들어 있는데.
소민이 호기심에 장화를 들어 올리는 순간 마법처럼 살아 움직여 춤을 추며 그녀의 완벽히 정돈된 세계를 흩뜨리기 시작한다.
Project Direction
Animated short film for SVA 2023 Thesis
We designed the lovely animation targeting to audience of all age. Exaggerated and cartoony animation of Somin's dancing scene is inspired by Disney animation.
Color script is designed to have a different temperature before & after Somin's interaction with the magical rain boots.
Props design and look development is carefully crefted to have semi-stylized shapes with realistic surface.
애니메이션은 모든 연령대가 즐길 수 있는 사랑스럽고 마술처럼 보이도록 기획 되었습니다. 디즈니적이고 만화적인 소민의 춤씬은 이 영화의 색깔을 가장 잘 들어내도록 구성 입니다.
장화의 등장 씬 전후로 빛의 온도와 색감을 사용하여 차갑게 식은 소민의 방이 점점 활기와 생기가 들어나도록 했습니다.
프롭 디자인 또한 극사실 보다는 스타일라이즈된 형태를 혼합시켜 스토리를 함축적으로 표현 하였습니다.
